The Washington Department of Natural Resources has closed all access to Damon Point in Ocean Shores effective immediately due to severe erosion, according to the Grays Harbor County Sheriff's Office. The City of Ocean Shores has also posted no trespassing signs throughout the area.
Authorities are urging the public to stay out of Damon Point entirely. The Sheriff's Office stated the closure is intended to protect both visitors and emergency responders who would otherwise be put at risk responding to incidents in the eroded area.
