Westport Marina Announces Summer Rules, Rate Hike

🔊 Listen · narrated by Aiden

Westport Marina is implementing new rules and a rate increase for the summer season. Beginning July 1, 2026, moorage rates will rise to $4.44 per foot per month, including tax, marking the first adjustment in 30 years. The increase will phase in over three years and includes separate rates for working and recreational vessels.

Dock clean-up is required immediately, with only dock steps, hoses, and mooring lines allowed in boat stalls. Items like chairs, tables, and gear must be removed to avoid safety hazards and potential removal. Marina rules also require leashed dogs, no boarding of other boats without permission, and no fish carcasses in dumpsters.

The marina will also complete summer maintenance projects while minimizing disruption. Fishermen Fridays will continue with free coffee and donuts for boaters. Working vessel owners must now provide proof of classification, and cancellation fees will rise from $100 to $250.
